ARABIS Common Name: Rockcress Arabis is herbaceous annual or perennial plant that burst into glorious bloom in late April and May.  They make a beautiful ground cover of fillers for rock gardens and walls.  Plant height is just 4 to 6 inches so make excellent edging or borders.  The plants bloom profusely in shades of purple, lilac, rose, deep red, blue and white. Fun fact:  The genus is named in honor of Claude Aubriet, A French botanical artist of the 1700s.
