Squirrel Hill
For those who prefer a neighborhood where there are more quiet streets than there is night life, this is it. It is composed mainly of streets with single family homes on them. The shops in Squirrel Hill reflect this. There are green grocers, bakeries, toy shops, bagel shops, old fashioned delis, movie theaters, and of course the usual super market and pharmacy.
The universities are just a walk away, or minutes by bus or shuttle. Parking on the street in Squirrel Hill is not impossible, but our buildings offer off street parking, too.
Schenley Park is adjacent to Squirrel Hill and offers many diversions. It is the home of Phipps Conservatory, tennis courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, an ice rink for skating, a soccer field, and a swimming pool.
Squirrel Hill is a comfortable neighborhood.
